Warrant issued for Guam cop for stalking, terrorizing
A warrant of arrest was issued last night for a police officer charged with family violence, stalking and terrorizing. Hagatna Precinct Officer Troy Morrison turned himself in to the Marshal's Division last night. According to GPD spokesperson Officer Allan Guzman, the Attorney General's Office handed down an indictment on the case, which happened several months ago.
Guzman says Morrison is currently at the Hagatna Detention Facility awaiting his magistrates complaint. When asked whether GPD previously conducted an internal affairs investigation on Morrison's actions, Guzman couldn't provide details.
"I'm not aware of the actual case itself. Like I said, it's been turned over to the Attorney General's Office. The internal aspect of it, our own department will in fact pick this up, if we've not already investigated this case. I don't have the findings of that investigation. But the internal investigation, I guarantee it has been or because of this indictment it will be. Like I said, I'm not sure the internal aspect of it," he said.
Morrison was also previously assigned to GPD's Criminal Investigation Division. Several years ago, he resigned after assault allegations surfaced against him. Then back in 2003, former police chief earl aguigui rehired him back to GPD.
