The KUAM Careforce is looking for youth leaders from around the island to participate as “Giving Tuesday Spark Ambassadors”. The Giving Tuesday Spark Ambassador program is a School Year 2025-2026 program in which passionate and purpose driven High School Juniors and Seniors are given the opportunity to couple their passion and commitment to service with hands-on training in content creation, journalism and storytelling. The first portion of the experience will culminate in planning and executing a service event with the KUAM Careforce for Giving Tuesday, on December 2, 2025, a global day of service recognized by millions around the world. On this day, The KUAM Careforce will be showcasing and participating in different acts of service, charity, and kindness around Guam including those organized by our Giving Tuesday Spark Ambassadors.

Applicants should excel in academics and demonstrate a passion for community service and drive to make the world a better place! Interested and qualified applicants should complete the attached application by Friday, September 26 at 5pm.
As a Giving Tuesday Spark ambassador, commitment will entail:

-Attending the Giving Tuesday planning and orientation workshop Tentatively set for Saturday, October 11, 2025.
-Spearheading an event for Giving Tuesday 2025 (12/2/2025). This can be with your school or community or by partnering with a local organization. The Workshop will provide many ideas and resources for inspiration and guidance.
-Documenting preparation for Giving Tuesday for a tv/digital special to be broadcasted and streamed on Giving Tuesday.

In 2026, the program will continue with various activities and opportunities for our Giving Tuesday Spark ambassadors including:

- Producing, directing and hosting a monthly KUAM News Feature about inspirational teens, and programs and organizations in our community
- Building content for KUAM Careforce Social Media
- Coordinating a peer led activity during Youth Month and Earth Month in April
- Hosting a monthly podcast about Teen Issues on the KUAM Podcast Network

Through the Giving Tuesday Spark program our goal is to foster a commitment to service for our youth, and train them with the storytelling, journalism and promotional skills to advocate with purpose and ultimately make a difference!
