SNIP Clinic returns to Sinajana to kick-off 2026
The Department of Agriculture, in partnership with GAIN Spay & Neuter Island Pets, is kicking-off 2026 with its 9th Community Spay and Neuter Clinic aimed at reducing pet overpopulation on Guam. The clinic will be hosted by Sinajana Mayor Robert Hoffman at the Sinajana Mayor’s Office from January 13 through the 22nd.
Surgeries will be offered by appointment only at a cost of $50, with financial assistance available. Residents receiving SNAP benefits may qualify for free surgeries through the SNIP-SNAP Sponsorship Program.
This year, the program will focus on mixed-breed dogs and cats, as well as free-roaming and community animals, which play a major role in Guam’s overpopulation challenges. Purebred animals will no longer be accepted.
Territorial veterinarian Dr. Mariana Turner says the shift aligns with best-practice recommendations from humane world for animals, helping ensure limited resources make the greatest impact while still supporting families in need of affordable veterinary care.
