Guam will welcome the New Year with fireworks lighting up both sides of the island. The Guam Visitors Bureau will host two simultaneous fireworks shows at midnight, New Year’s Eve into January 1, 2026 — one over Tumon Bay and the other over Hagåtña Bay.

The displays will be launched from Governor Joseph Flores Beach Park and Hagåtña Bay, continuing a long-standing tradition meant to bring residents and visitors together to celebrate the start of a new year.

Governor Lou Leon Guerrero says the fireworks are a moment for families and friends to pause, look up, and share in the hope and promise of 2026, while Lieutenant Governor Josh Tenorio says the event reflects Guam’s energy, optimism, and welcoming spirit.

GVB president and CEO Régine Biscoe Lee says the goal is to offer a memorable, family-friendly way for the community and visitors to ring in the new year while showcasing Guam’s festive culture.

Officials are advising no swimming between Ypao Beach and the Hyatt area on New Year’s Eve, and are urging everyone to celebrate responsibly, follow safety guidance, and help keep Guam clean as the island rings in 2026.
