'We want to make Guam proud': Tony Roma's grand re-opening on Friday
Get ready for mouth-watering ribs because Tony Roma’s is back, with a grand re-opening set for this Friday in Tumon. The long-running restaurant held a VIP event for local media and influencers on Wednesday, giving a first look to the newly-renovated establishment.
Boonies Barkade N Bistro founders Dennis and Nathalie Lang took over ownership of the family-friendly restaurant just months after it closed earlier this year. They say it was all possible with majority of its staff coming back, including its general manager and kitchen manager.
"We had 80% of the staff come back here," Dennis said. "So you probably heard of the stories of people being here, coming here, going to Hagatna and some other spots. We appreciate you coming back. We want you to come back again. Come check out some of our new items.
"With me and my wife Nathalie taking over Tony Roma’s, we want to make them proud. We want to make Guam proud. We want all the tourists to come and enjoy it as well. We hope it’s a new time for Tony Roma’s here in Guam."
Tony Roma’s is a global franchise serving up legendary ribs since 1972 and a longtime island favorite.
Doors open this Friday at the Royal Orchid Guam Hotel.
