Nenpire Startup Series guides kid entrepreneurs leading-up to holiday market

Success in business is usually seen as an elusive goal to chase only if you have years upon years of specialized training and education. And while marketing, product development and salesmanship are good talents to possess - kids with ideas, if given the right tools and guided with positive motivation, can make their dreams come true, and be as successful as grownups.
Just before the Thanksgiving weekend, the Nenpire Startup Series for youth entrepreneurship held its fourth and final workshop, putting final touches on their product and pitch ideas for these young business leaders. One such mentor, Frankie McJohn from Crowns Media, told KUAM News, "And I think this is a cool opportunity for them to think outside the box and not be so square about what they want to do everyday, right? They get to decide on something that they want to create and they have all the tools to create it. And I think that's a jump start in life."
And adults who've demonstrated their ability to capitalize on opportunity served as mentors, shared their own feedback and encouragement on building, selling, winning, and having fun. Ari Chaco, a Nenpire program coordinator who has worked with the kids for all four sessions, added how impressed she's been with their progress, saying, "The these kids are amazing. They have wonderful ideas."
"I love each step of their initial ideas that like creative spark, their interest in the beginning grows and grows and grows. They learn about how to really make it come to life, how to make a true business, how to make money. The cool part is that they follow-through all the way to the end where they can actually sell these things. They can meet customers. They can build clientele. And they gain confidence doing it the whole time. They learn how to do it so that if they want to do it on their own, they are absolutely they have all the tools they need."
So with just two weeks remaining until they showcase their goods at the Neni Christmas Market at the Micronesia Mall on December 6, these dynamos are excited to exhibit the result of their hard work. They invite you to visit their storefronts, and they want to earn your business as a customer.
