Guam Department of Education to host weeklong STREAM professional development for STEM teachers

The Guam Department of Education is gearing up for a full week of STREAM-focused professional development for STEM teachers, running from Nov. 17 through Nov. 21.
The training, hosted by the Office of Curriculum and Instruction, is designed to strengthen hands-on, inquiry-based STEM teaching aligned with 21st-century skills.
Each day features a specialized session, from Sprocket K-8 curriculum adaptation, to VEX Robotics for high school, drone-teaching refreshers, Guam QUEST design challenges, and STEM Expo planning.
The workshops will be led by Laura Arndt of Global Green STEM, an international expert in sustainability and STEAM integration.
GDOE says these sessions reinforce its commitment to advancing STEAM education and preparing students to become the next generation of problem-solvers and innovators.
