Forty-two students were recognized at a completion ceremony held Wednesday at the GCA Trades Academy, celebrating their achievements in various skilled trades.

The graduates earned certificates in areas such as electrical, welding, heavy equipment, and erosion and sediment control, with three students completing registered apprenticeship programs.

The ceremony, held in partnership with the Guam Department of Labor, highlighted success stories like that of Matthew Cascasan, whose training is now fully sponsored through the American Job Center’s Apprenticeship Program.

Acting Governor Josh Tenorio praised the programs for removing financial barriers and empowering local workers, while GDOL Director David Dell’isola congratulated the graduates for balancing school, work, and family as they continue to build careers in Guam's growing trades industry.
