Fourth week of “Non-Detect”; GWA asks gepa to lift “Do Not Drink” order

The Guam Waterworks Authority is formally asking the Guam Environmental Protection Agency to lift the “do not drink” advisory for the Yigo/Santa Rosa area.
The request follows a fourth consecutive week of lab results showing “non-detect” levels of dieldrin in drinking water from Yigo well Y-15.
According to GWA, treated water is now reliably below the Guam EPA’s interim action level of 0.2 parts per billion.
GWA says residents will be notified immediately once Guam EPA officially rescinds the advisory.
