Eight years after deploying nearly a dozen Autonomous Reef Monitoring Structures off Guam's coast, researchers are now sharing their findings from the long-term study of the island’s marine biodiversity.

The project is part of the global ARMS program led by the Smithsonian, designed to standardize marine biodiversity assessment and monitoring to track changes in ocean ecosystems.

This Friday, the University of Guam NSF EPSCOR program and the California Academy of Science will host a special “Research Reveal And Show And Tell” event at 1 p.m. in Room 205 of the UOG Marine Laboratory.

Attendees will get a hands-on look at the study’s results and meet the scientists continuing this global biodiversity research.
