Residents who made credit card payments through the department of revenue and taxation’s online portals, myguamtax.com and pay.guam.gov, will receive reimbursements for credit card service fees.

Emails from LexisNexis Payments (service@lexisnexis.com), the government’s payment vendor, are being sent to inform consumers of credit requests for transactions made between November 2024 and January 2025.

Another round of reimbursements for payments made earlier this year is expected at a later date.

The refunds follow legislation eliminating credit card fees for individual transactions such as vehicle registration, property taxes, driver’s licenses, and income tax payments.

DRT advises residents to verify the credit amounts in the emails against their bank statements.

Businesses, however, are still required to pay convenience fees and will not receive reimbursements.
