Atos Jiu-Jitsu Guam sweeps all major awards at Marianas Open 2025

The 2025 Marianas Open concluded with a historic showing for Atos Jiu-Jitsu Guam, which achieved a complete sweep across all competitive and institutional categories at both the tournament and the prestigious Marianas Open Gala held at the Hyatt Regency Guam.
Following an electrifying weekend of world-class competition that featured over 1,300 athletes from more than 20 countries, the Marianas Open Gala celebrated excellence in Jiu-Jitsu performance, leadership, and team achievement.
Atos Jiu-Jitsu Guam, under the leadership of Professor Mike Carbullido, claimed top honors in every division:
- Professor of the Year — Professor Mike Carbullido
- Kids Team of the Year
- Adults Team of the Year
- 1st Place – Kids Gi and No-Gi Divisions
- 1st Place – Adult Gi and No-Gi Divisions
- 1st Place – Masters Gi and No-Gi Divisions
The clean sweep reflects the academy’s commitment to excellence across all levels, from its youngest competitors to its veteran masters.
The team’s consistency, discipline, and culture of unity have set a new benchmark for Jiu-Jitsu success not only in Guam but throughout the Pacific region.
“This achievement represents years of dedication, sacrifice, and belief in one another,” said Professor Carbullido. “Our athletes, instructors, families, and supporters embody what it means to live the Jiu-Jitsu lifestyle. I am deeply honored to represent our island and this team.”
The Marianas Open 2025 shattered previous participation records and reaffirmed Guam’s position as a global hub for Jiu-Jitsu.
Despite strong international competition, Atos Guam’s athletes demonstrated the technical mastery, humility, and fighting spirit that have become hallmarks of the academy.
