The trial for a man accused in a 2023 shooting has been vacated—meaning it’s been canceled and will be rescheduled.  Presiding Judge Alberto Tolentino made the ruling Wednesday for defendant Adrian Bernard Fejeran, who faces charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm without an ID card.

Judge Tolentino maintained Fejeran’s 24-hour house arrest, citing the serious nature of the alleged crime. The defense had requested looser restrictions so Fejeran could care for his mother and exercise, but the court denied that motion.

Tolentino also emphasized the case must move forward, noting the statutory trial period had already lapsed.

According to police, Fejeran was charged in connection with an October 2023 shooting in Humåtak, where the victim was shot in both feet. Investigators recovered shell casings and a firearm allegedly linked to Fejeran, who later turned himself in.

The court expects a resolution or trial date to be set within the next 45 days.
