Guam is celebrating the achievements of 39 students who completed coursework through the GCA Trades Academy, including 11 who advanced under registered apprenticeship programs.

The Guam Department Of Labor and GCA Trades Academy held a certificate presentation ceremony on October first to recognize the graduates and their accomplishments.

Governor Lou Leon Guerrero praised the programs for strengthening Guam's workforce, saying they help meet industry demands, support economic growth, and create long-term career pathways.

Of the 11 apprentices, three completed training in electrical, two in hvac/r, three in heavy equipment operations, two in diesel mechanics, and one in plumbing.

Lieutenant Governor Josh Tenorio said each certificate represents an opportunity for individuals, families, and the community, adding that investing in skills development prepares Guam for a stronger future.

GDOL Director David Dell’isola commended the students’ hard work, saying every apprentice brings unique talent and potential to the island’s workforce.
