Public Health streamlines contacts for Public Assistance programs

The Department of Public Health and Social Services, through the Bureau of Economic Security, is improving how the public connects with staff for help with public assistance benefits.
Starting June 20, 2025, all phone and email communications related to the BES public assistance applications or inquiries should be directed to the following centralized contacts:
- Email: CentralBES@dphss.guam.gov
- Phone: (671) 300-8853 or (671) 300-8872
This new process helps ensure faster service and more consistent updates on your application.
“Applying for help should never feel confusing or out of reach,” said DPHSS Director, Theresa C. Arriola. “This change is about making it easier for our community to connect with us, get the answers they need, and feel reassured that support is within reach. Our team is here to serve, and we’re committed to making every step forward clearer and more responsive.”
Existing head-of-household members who are receiving the public assistance are encouraged to use the DPHSS My Benefits Client Portal at MyBenefits.Guam.gov to check application status, download official notices, and view important updates related to their case.
Previous BES phone numbers and email addresses will no longer be monitored.
Using the centralized contact information will help prevent delays and ensure communications are directed to the appropriate team.
BES staff are committed to the following service response times:
- Phone calls will be answered within one business day
- Emails will be responded to within two business days
