The public is invited to the Guam Department Of Agriculture’s community listening session on Thursday from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Dededo Senior Citizen’s Center.

Officials say the session is part of the department’s continuing efforts to engage with the community, increase transparency, and gather valuable input on programs and policies that affect Guam's residents, farmers and natural resources.

The meeting will cover a range of topics including hemp rules and regulations, agricultural development services nursery fee schedule, animal health fee schedule and import regulations, biosecurity fee schedule and import regulations, endangered species list and an open listening session for public comments and questions.

“This is a chance for the public to share their thoughts, ask questions, and help shape the future of agriculture and natural resource management on Guam,” said Chelsa Muña, Director of the Guam Department of Agriculture. “We encourage farmers, ranchers, business owners, environmental advocates, and all interested residents to join us.”

Input collected at the session will be used to inform department decisions and ensure that policies reflect the needs and priorities of the community.

The listening session is at the Dededo Senior Citizen’s Center from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
