US Coast Guard’s Oliver Henry completes 22-day operation Rematau patrol in Federated States of Micronesia

The USCGC Oliver Henry has successfully completed a dynamic 22-day Operation Rematau patrol across the Federated States of Micronesia.
During the mission, the crew logged over 4,200 nautical miles and 340 operating hours, conducting five bilateral boardings on tuna longliners with FSM national police maritime wing partners to ensure compliance and enhance maritime domain awareness.
The crew also delivered 2,000 pounds of vital supplies to remote atolls including Sapwuahfik, Nukuoro, and Kapingamarangi, strengthening community connections with support from the U.S. embassy in Kolonia and the Ayuda Foundation.
Operation Rematau helped bolster regional security, protect marine resources, and deter illegal activities, demonstrating the Coast Guard’s commitment to partnership and stability in the Blue Pacific.
Lt. Ray Cerrato, Commanding Officer of Oliver Henry, said the patrol showed the value of deepening ties and working together to keep the pacific safe and prosperous.
