Superior Court Judge John Terlaje is giving both sides just two weeks to finalize a plea deal in the murder case against Toshie Salvadore — or face trial.

Salvadore, also known as Charles Tone or Toshy, is accused of fatally shooting his stepbrother, Mike Fel, in November 2024, then setting fire to the vehicle used to take him to the hospital. Prosecutors say Salvadore was drinking heavily when he pointed a gun at Fel, demanding he sell drugs, before pulling the trigger.

The defendant has been held at the Department of Corrections and appeared virtually at Thursday’s hearing. He faces first-degree murder charges with special allegations for use of a deadly weapon, along with an arson charge.

Prosecutors told the court a plea deal has already been drafted and returned with revisions, and the victim’s family’s signature is the final step. Defense confirmed both sides are working toward resolution.

Judge Terlaje warned he would not allow more delays and set the next hearing for October 2.
