Guam to represent at Asia’s largest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament

Asia’s largest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament is set to welcome more than 10,000 competitors from over 200 countries this weekend.
Representing Guam is Steve Shimizu, President of the Marianas Open Jiu-Jitsu Federation and recognized authority with the Asia Sport Jiu-Jitsu Federation. His role highlights Guam’s growing influence in the global Jiu-Jitsu community.
As part of this international partnership, the Marianas Open will award two black belt athletes an all-expenses-paid trip to Guam for October’s tournament, already on track to be the island’s biggest sporting showcase yet.
With over 800 athletes registered from 24 nations, Guam is poised to host more than 1,000 competitors, strengthening its reputation as a premier hub for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the Asia-Pacific region.
