Guam Economic Development Authority leads Japan trade mission showcasing Made in Guam businesses

Seven Guam-based businesses have returned from Japan after showcasing their Made in Guam products during a trade mission hosted by the Guam Economic Development Authority in partnership with the Western United States Agricultural Trade Association.
The mission opened doors for local companies like Asiga, Denanche’ Guam, Everything Guam, Kingfisher’s Noni, Local Jerk Guam, The Coconut Tree Company, and The Green Turtle Coffee to connect with Japanese buyers and distributors.
Highlights included meetings with Shizuoka Prefecture officials, a U.S. Embassy reception featuring Guam-inspired cuisine, and participation in the Tokyo Gourmet Show—drawing over 30,000 visitors.
Governor Lou Leon Guerrero praised the entrepreneurs as cultural ambassadors, while participants emphasized the importance of building long-term trade, education, and cultural ties with Japan.
Officials say this mission marks an important step toward expanding Guam’s presence in international markets while supporting local business growth.
