Police arrest man linked to Sinajana home invasion, vehicle theft

As an update on Wednesday’s police pursuit in the Chalan Pago-Ordot area, Guam Police confirm the arrest of 22-year-old Micheal Ray Angelo Guzman. He is accused in connection with a September 2 home invasion in Sinajana, where a car was reported stolen.
After a fruitless search, it wasn’t until Wednesday afternoon, when officers say they spotted and chased the vehicle to a business in Ordot.
Police allege Guzman reversed into a patrol car before ditching it and running on foot through Agueda Johnston Middle School, which prompted a lockdown.
After fleeing into the jungle, he was later seen riding a bicycle against traffic along Route 4, switching to a car, and fleeing again on foot—before being arrested inside Cost-U-Less in Chalan Pago.
GPD says Guzman has a lengthy criminal history—with five prior arrests.
He now faces multiple charges, including criminal trespass, motor vehicle theft, assault on a police officer, and more.
Authorities add that another man seen with police was not charged for any crime and was released.
Meantime, Guzman is booked and confined at the Department of Corrections, with the case forwarded to the Attorney General’s Office.
