KUAM Communications is seeking a passionate, creative, strategic Social Media Strategist / Digital Producer to lead social and digital efforts that grow audience engagement, support newsroom priorities, and generate revenue through branded content and campaigns.

In this role, you will play a key part in developing and executing digital marketing strategies while also producing engaging content to drive brand awareness and engagement.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in developing and implementing digital marketing and/or news campaigns across various platforms, including social media, email, and online advertising.

- Create compelling and visually appealing content, including graphics, videos, and written copy, to support marketing and editorial initiatives

- Monitor and analyze the performance (KPIs) of digital campaigns and provide insights for optimization.

- Collaborate with digital, sales and  marketing and news teams to brainstorm and execute creative ideas for content and campaigns.

- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to ensure our digital marketing efforts are innovative and effective.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Digital Media or related field preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 2 years producing digital content. (Experience producing content for a media group, newsroom, agency or corporate environment is a plus.)
  • Excellent writing and editing skills; strong grammar; ability to write concise, platform-appropriate copy.
  • Proficiency in shooting and editing video and still photography; basic audio capture and editing experience.
  • Hands-on experience with editing and graphic tools - e.g.  Adobe Creative Cloud tools (Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom, Audition, Illustrator), CapCut, Canva or equivalent.
  • Ability to produce accurate content under tight deadlines and adapt to breaking news.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with producers, reporters, sales, marketing and technical teams.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends or on-call shifts.
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices and analytics tools (Google Analytics, platform insights) to inform decisions and report KPIs.
