GW High one-to-one aide arrested on assault & child abuse charges

A George Washington High School one-to-one aide has been arrested after allegations of assaulting a special education student.
Police say Michael Hocog II faces charges including assault, child abuse, abuse of the incompetent, and official misconduct.
The incident was reported on Aug. 8, when a Student Resource Officer met with the school principal after the student’s mother filed a complaint and provided photos of her child’s injuries.
Witnesses say Hocog restrained the student and made verbal threats.
Hocog was booked and released; the case is now with the Attorney General’s Office.
