Guam Department of Labor to host Town Hall meetings for in-School Youth Program

The Guam Department of Labor will be hosting a series of town hall meetings for its year-round In-School Youth Program to inform high school parents and students about enrollment opportunities.
During these town hall meetings, GDOL staff will be on hand to answer questions and help families determine if they meet the program’s eligibility requirements.
GDOL will host a total of four town hall meetings every Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the following locations:
- August 15: Department of Parks and Recreation
- August 22: Hågat Community Center
- August 29: Dededo Senior Center
- September 5: Yigo Senior Center
Parents and students who attend the town hall meetings will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with a GDOL representative about program details, eligibility criteria, and next steps.
Applications for enrollment will also be available at the town hall meetings. Parents and students are encouraged to bring all required documentation to streamline the enrollment process.
The Year-Round In-School Youth Program focuses on providing high school juniors and seniors with work experience, training, and support services during the academic year.
Participating students gain hands-on experience in various industries, from automotive to hospitality, culinary to information technology, enabling them to build a solid foundation for post-graduation employment or further education.
