Force Protection level raised to Bravo; Trusted Traveler Program suspended at Naval Base Guam

Naval Base Guam and all installations under Joint Region Marianas have raised their Force Protection Condition (FPCON) level from Alpha to Bravo as a precautionary measure. While there is no known specific threat to Guam or the region, this change reflects an increased level of security vigilance in line with Department of Defense protocols.
As part of this heightened posture, Naval Base Guam has suspended its Trusted Traveler Program until further notice. A 100 percent ID check will be enforced at all entry points. Individuals without a valid Department of Defense (DoD) ID or base access credential must visit the Visitor Control Center (VCC) during business hours to obtain a visitor pass.
Location: 1657-B Apra Harbor
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Closed for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Wednesdays at 3 p.m. for training.
Visitors and personnel should expect potential delays at all entry control points. All non-DoD visitors will be subject to standard ID checks and security procedures.
Governor Lou Leon Guerrero was briefed by Admiral Mietus on these precautionary measures. The Governor was assured that there are no specific threats to the region at this time.
Joint Region Marianas will continue monitoring the situation and provide updates as needed. Normal operations will proceed with appropriate security adjustments under FPCON Bravo guidelines.
Community cooperation is appreciated as these steps are taken to ensure the safety of all personnel, families, and mission operations.
