GHURA announced that they have officially opened the public comment to residents to review and comment on its draft action plan for disaster recovery.

The plan will guide how over half a billion dollars will be spent over the next six years.

The “Fix in Six” program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and will target affordable housing, infrastructure, and economic opportunity for low-to-moderate income communities impacted by Typhoon Mawar.

The public comment period runs from May 1 through June 2, and three hearings are scheduled: May 15 at the Guam Legislature, May 20 at the Hågat Mayor’s Office, and May 22 at the Yigo Gym.

Comments can be emailed to [email protected] or dropped off at GHURA’s main office in Sinajaña.
