Congressman Moylan leads bipartisan push to protect Guam's biosecurity

Congressman James Moylan is leading a bipartisan effort to safeguard Guam's biosecurity by urging federal agencies to maintain a critical USDA lease.
Moylan, along with every Pacific Islands representative, sent a letter to the USDA and GSA, stressing the importance of USDA Aphis Wildlife Services on Guam.
The agency plays a vital role in controlling the brown tree snake, preventing invasive species spread, and managing bird strike hazards.
However, a proposed lease termination could force relocation, potentially hampering operations and threatening pacific biosecurity.
Moylan said he’s working closely with federal agencies to find a solution that ensures these critical programs remain in place.
