Ex-clinic worker admits to stealing $87k from employer

A former worker at a local clinic admits she stole at least $87,460.97 from Guam ENT Clinic.
Ellie Sungio Ongrung pleaded guilty to aggregrated theft of property held in trust as a second-degree-felony.
It was stated in court documents that Ongrung began stealing from Guam ENT Clinic in 2016 after she was assigned to make daily financial transactions, handle accounts, and make deposits for medical services.
Ongrung worked part-time at the clinic and held a full-time role as Clinic Director and Founder of Guam Cancer Care.
As part of her plea, Ongrung is liable for compensation owed to the clinic, along with other fines and costs. She is also placed on a three-year period of supervised probation requiring her to complete 200 hours of community service.
