Camp Blaz Marines running 249 miles around Guam for Corps' birthday

Many of you making your way around the island's main highways over the last couple of days probably noted a curious site: military personnel running with their flag held high. They're United States Marines from Camp Blaz, doing 249 miles around Guam to coincide with the birthday of their beloved Marine Corps.
The Marines were formed in 1775 during the American Revolutionary War on November 10, with these local Marines continuing the proud tradition of those who served before them, running the miles over a 24-hour period, starting in Hagat where the 1st Provisional Marine Brigade landed on July 21, 1944, ultimately finish their run at their Dededo base.
Happy birthday to the Marines...and as always, thank you for your service!
