Attorney Sean Brown to serve as magistrate

Chief Justice Robert Torres, Jr. appointed Attorney Sean Brown to serve as a magistrate for the Judiciary of Guam.
The appointment comes ahead of Magistrate Judge Benjamin Sison's second term ending this October.
The chief justice stating in part, “I am confident in appointing Attorney Sean Brown for the position of magistrate. His extensive litigation experience, along with his service as a prosecutor, make him exceptionally suited for the demands and duties of a judicial officer.”
Attorney Brown was chosen from a list of candidates provided by the Guam Bar Association.
The appointment is subject to the approval of the Guam Legislature.
Attorney General Doug Moylan says he will testify in support of Brown's appointment.
Chief Justice Torres also thanks Judge Sison for his distinguished service and commitment to the Judiciary.
