45-Day comment period for PA Memo supporting Marine Corps relocation

The Navy is inviting the public to submit comments for a Programmatic Agreement memo in support of the Marine Corps relocation to the island. The comment period is set to end on June 19.
PA Memos provide an opportunity for interested community members to participate in the Section 106 consultation process required under the National Historic Preservation Act.
The following PA memo provides new cultural and natural resources information associated with planned construction projects.

PA Memo #1 proposes to conduct project design efforts including geotechnical and topographic surveys and subsequently construct six earth covered magazines within the bounds of Naval Base Guam Naval Munitions Site (former Navy Base Guam Ordnance Annex) and Orote Point at Naval Base Guam.
This is a 45-day public comment period and interested members of the community may submit comments via email to criwebcomment@navy.mil.
Printed copies of the memo are available in the Department of Parks and Recreation Office in Agana Heights.
