A preliminary 4.4 magnitude earthquake hit about 26 kilometers north, north-west of Asan-Maina at noon Friday.

The U.S. Geological Survey confirmed the quake hit at a depth of 154.4 kilometers around 12:10 p.m.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center advised there is no tsunami threat to the Marianas from the earthquake. There were no major damages or injuries for Guam reported from the earthquake.

The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD) remind the community that when an earthquake strikes, conduct the earthquake procedure, “Drop, Cover and Hold On” until the shaking stops.
