Various traffic violations and stops lead to three individuals being arrested on drug possession charges.

Thirty-eight-year-old Patrick James Pangelinan, 43-year-old Jolene Cabrera San Nicolas, and 40-year-old Nicolas Johnathan Pereda were charged separately with possession of a schedule II controlled substance as third-degree felonies.

Pangelinan also has a notice of commission of a felony while on felony release.

In Pangelinan’s complaint, Guam police officers spotted a Yamaha motorcycle with an expired registration tag, leading to a traffic stop.

Officers noticed Pangelinan tightly gripping his sling bag and asked to conduct a search. When asked if he’s been arrested before, Pangelinan allegedly told officers he is on probation.

During a search, officers found a resealable baggie with meth.

In a separate complaint, San Nicolas was stopped for having a dark license-plate cover, noted as an equipment violation.

Officers observed signs of alleged methamphetamine use before searching and finding drugs, court documents state.

In the last complaint, a defective license-plate lamp on Pereda’s car had officers executing a traffic stop.

It was noted that Pereda did not have his license, registration, and insurance information.

Before a search was conducted, responding officers noticed a possible pistol caliber shell casing.

Police found packaged syringes, a pouch with various resealable baggies, and a plastic straw.

Pereda allegedly denied that he owned the items and told officers he uses “ice” when he needs to get stuff done and purchases it from a relative’s friend.
