The Marianas Visitors Authority announced that United Airlines will be flying at a new time between Tokyo-Narita and Saipan starting May 7.


The new schedule will depart Tokyo-Narita International Airport on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday at 5:30 p.m. and arrive at Saipan International Airport at 9:55 p.m. and depart Saipan on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 11:50 a.m. and arrive in Tokyo at 2:25 p.m., according to the MVA.


The Marianas Visitors Authority requested the rescheduled departure and arrival times to improve the number of visitor arrivals. The schedule also reduces the layover time in Tokyo-Narita for those traveling between Saipan and the U.S.


The CNMI received just 838 visitors from Japan last month.
