$79M proposed for Tinian Divert Airfield in NDAA

The U.S. House and Senate approved $79 million for Tinian’s Divert Airfield in the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2024. It now heads to Biden’s desk.
NMI Del. Gregorio Sablan announced that the NDAA includes that amount for the Air Force project on Tinian. Specifically, $26 million for Phase 1 of the Airfield Development, $21 million for fuel tanks with a pipeline and hydrant, and $32 million for a parking apron.
Overall, the NDDAA also includes a 5.2% pay raise for service members and support for the Pacific Deterrence Initiative in the Indo-Pacific.
The NDAA amounts to $886 billion in defense spending.
