A man convicted of burglary is now facing additional criminal charges after being caught with drugs inside the Department of Corrections (DOC) prison.

Kendall Norris McKinney, 34, is charged with promoting prison contraband as a second-degree felony and possession of a schedule II controlled substance as a third-degree felony.

According to court documents, on Nov. 29, Guam police responded to DOC in Mangilao at 6:45 pm after contraband was found.

During a search, correctional officers found a glass pipe with meth, a lighter, and small quantities of marijuana, documents state.

Back in 2014, McKinney was arrested for burglary and has been serving out a 20-year prison sentence. Prison records show he is scheduled to be released on Sept. 30, 2033.
