Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero returned today from a trip to Okinawa.

She met with Gov. Denny Tamaki who has visited Guam twice in the last three years. The Okinawa governor extended an invitation to Gov. Leon Guerrero in return. According to Adelup, the two discussed opportunities to grow friendships and opportunities for cultural exchanges and tourism.

The Leon Guerrero also met with Marine Corps officials to discuss relocation efforts and to tour bases. Leon Guerrero also had lunch with Guam Marines stationed in Okinawa.

The governor departed Guam last Thursday, Sept. 14.
