GovGuam continuity of operations in disaster situations a concern for Blas

The 9/11 anniversary sparked Minority Leader Frank Blas, Jr. To request "asset insurance and continuity of operations plans" from all executive branch agencies. He says there are two lessons learned from the worst terrorist attacks in American history: a catastrophe can happen at any time, and the need for contingency planning.
"In remembrance, on the anniversary of 9/11 one of the things that I wanted to do is see is how our government agencies are ready to be able to deal with emergency operations," said the senator. "Where are we going to go or where are these agencies going to operate out of if their primary facility is deemed, or you can't occupy it. Who's in charge in case something happens to the head of the agency. If things are damaged how do we intend to replace them. These are some of the very basic things that we need to be able to address."
Blas has sent Freedom of Information Act requests to all agencies seeking their input.
