Typhoon Mawar allows Guam weather watcher to meet long-lost cousin

During one of the most inopportune times to do what might be seen as trivial research or expansion of your social medai graph, one of the stars of the Typhoon Mawar era on Guam found made a new friend... who happens to be a relative. Landon Aydlett, the National Weather Service's lead forecaster, was contacted by Nancy, living in New Mexico, who revealed is his fifth-cousin.
She said she caught the NWS's frequent livestreams on Facebook and reached out. Which led to a family groupchat, and discovery of their lineage.
