At around 3:10pm Wednesday afternoon, rescue units with the Guam Fire Department responded to  a report of a distressed swimmer at Ritidian Beach. According to GFD Spokesperson Nick Garrido, at 3:56pm the swimmer, a 43-year-old male, was recovered.

CPR was conducted en route and he was transported to Naval Hospital Guam where he was later pronounced deceased by attending physicians. This marks the third drowning this month.
