In Decision 2022 headlines here on the island, another packet has been picked up for a seat on the Guam Education Board. Angel Sablan is looking to serve on the GEB. He has been the Mayors' Council of Guam Executive Director for nearly 14 years. He also served 12 years as the deputy director and director for the Guam Department of Corrections, in total over 30 plus years in GovGuam as an unclassified employee.

Sablan had a senator packet signed off under his name in early May but confirmed with KUAM News Friday, "I will be a candidate for school board."

Meanwhile, Democrat Senator Joe San Agustin is seeking re-election as he recently filed his packet. Thomas J. Fisher has officially declared his candidacy for senator as he filed as a republican.

There are 77 days left until the primary election, which is scheduled for August 27.
