It's history in the making-- the first to earn a diploma from the Home of the Siheks in Hagat.
"She is the first graduate of Career Tech High Academy Charter School," Principal Juan Flores said. "She played a big part it in making this happen-- congratulations Justice."
Justice-Rey Brub in her cap and gown, was surrounded Friday morning by her teachers, peers and family as CTech handed out their first diploma.
While excited, she shared the struggles of working towards becoming a diploma holder.
"The challenges was trying to pick up my grades from transferring because I transferred like the end of the quarter or the beginning of the quarter and like getting to know the teachers and like how they are so like I can ask and approach them for help," Brub said.
After attending four different high schools and despite the hurdles, Brub still managed to overcome those battles and graduate. She shared this message for those who may be going through a similar situation.

"If you're struggling to graduate, you guys do not want to spend another year in high school, graduate, move on with your life and follow your dreams," she said.
Brub noted that CTECH steered her in the direction she's headed to today.
"They supported me by encouraging me to make it like this far in my life and they gave me advice of how to accomplish the things I need and they've just been there for me and really good to me," she said.
She explained that the knowledge and assets gained from CTECH will be applied moving forward into her new journey.
"Some skills that I learned was, honestly, I didn't even know how to work a computer, so now that I know I would probably like use my computer skills that they taught me here to apply it to my outside job, or wherever it takes me and leadership," Brub said. "They taught me leadership so I will bring that forward in my life and motivate other people."
Brub plans to join the Air Force as she moves on in life.
"My dream job is to become a mechanic in the air force," she said.
Meanwhile, enrollment is open at CTECH for next school year. The island's fourth charter school's mission is to foster a community-centered, culturally-rooted identity; to equip the island's next skilled workforce and to build a forum for upcoming leaders of Guam and the region.
