Hagat hit-and-run victim identified as Johnny Joseph Quenga

The pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle on Route 2 in Hagat and later died has been identified as 44-year-old Johnny Joseph Quenga of Humatak.
At around 9:21 p.m., Tuesday, when units from the Guam Fire Department and the Guam Police Department responded to the auto-pedestrian accident. Medics transported Quenga to Naval Hospital where he was later pronounced dead by attending physicians. The driver who fled the scene was later apprehended in Tamuning.
Thirty-year-old Joquest Kabrial James was charged with vehicular homicide, driving while impaired, negligent homicide, and leaving the scene with injuries in Quenga's death. James had a blood alcohol content of .08 or more. Although James was booked and confined. The investigation remains open.
