During murder defendant Matthew Manibusan’s status hearing on Monday, the court was inclined to order the approval of additional counsel and a private investigator. Under Guam law, if a defendant is charged with a first degree felony, they're entitled to more than one legal representation.

Manibusan is charged with murder for the April fatal shooting of Joshua Meno whose body was found along Swamp road in Dededo.

He faces two counts of Murder as a First Degree Felony, one count of Aggravated Assault as a Second Degree Felony, and various weapons charges.

Defense counsel Attorney Jay Arriola also motioned an order to post bail on a property valued at $300,000, where the court initially ordered $100,000.
