45-year-old woman is Guam's 27th COVID-19 fatality

Another life has been lost due to complications compounded by COVID-19. A 45-year-old woman passed away at 3pm today at the Guam Memorial Hospital, after having been admitted in the Tamuning facility nearly a month ago on August 17. She subsequently tested positive for coronavirus and had underlying health conditions.
Governor Leon Guerrero wrote in offering her condolences to the woman's family, "COVID-19 has changed the way we mourn-we can't grieve with family, we can't comfort each other, and we can't hold each other. I urge everyone to do what they need to do to prevent any more losses."
