Humanities Guahan suspends in-person public programs

We love the community we serve. To keep our community safe and healthy, and to alleviate the potential strain from COVID-19 on our island's hardworking health care workers and our health care resources, we believe that social distancing is a necessary community practice for the current moment.
We are therefore, with sadness,
until further notice. These programs include youth Community Conversations at the Department of Youth Affairs, and the Motheread/Fatheread literacy program at Manna Cabin, Zero Down, Yigo, the Salvation Army Lighthouse Recovery Center, and the Department of Corrections RSAT Program. Our 2020 Community Grant Workshop will be rescheduled, and we will continue monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic to make further adjustments to the 2020 grant schedule.
We will also close the Humanities Guåhan office to in-person visits until further notice. We will continue to be accessible by email and phone, and we encourage the public to communicate via email.
As an island community, we protect our manåmko' and each other; that's who we are, and how we will weather COVID-19. We encourage you to continue to do what you can for our island, and we're sending along our best wishes for your health and happiness.
Sincerely,
Your Friends at Humanities Guåhan
