Beautiful new mural unveiled in Piti

Posted: Updated:

Residents and visitors making their way through the village of Piti will now have an eye-catching mural to enjoy. Mayor Jesse Alig and Piti community members unveiled the new village mural right across the entrance of Polaris Point today.

"It was great because the Ko'ko represented on the mural is something we're working on with the brown tree snake control workshop that we're going to start," said the mayor. "So it's great that we're emphasizing that. And then I like the carabao, it looks a little different, we've never really had in Piti, but all together the design is framed with Plumeria the village flower, so I think it's really pretty great and eye catching and it's good for our tourist and our residents."

The mayor says the mural was made possible by local artist Austin Domingo and supplies and manpower provided by Guam Seawalker Tours.
