Senators are set to discuss a myriad of measures this week, including one that would prohibit any lawmaker from using any public money for travel and per-diem. The prohibition includes the use of funds from any branch of government, the General Fund, as well as any autonomous, semi-autonomous, and non-autonomous agencies and public corporations of the Government of Guam.
Bill 207 was introduced by Senator Brant McCreadie who says within the past five fiscal years the legislature alone has spent nearly a quarter of a million dollars on travel expenses.
If you've got something to say about this measure, the hearing is Wednesday at 9am at the Guam Legislature.
