Guam - Welcome Baby 2015 to the world! The first baby born on United States soil is a beautiful baby girl, as Hazel Cabrera Wilson was born to Willaine Cabrera and Jesse Wilson at exactly 12 minutes after midnight at the Guam Memorial Hospital. She weighs 6 lbs. 3 oz. and is 18.5 cm tall.
And what's most amazing - Willaine also delivered the first New Year's baby back in 2009.
She told KUAM News, "I thought she'll be a Christmas baby, but then when my contractions started two days ago, I said 'Oh, I don't know!' because she'll steal the spotlight from my other 2009 baby!" The family received - for the second time - an amazing gift package of care items from the I Love Guam "Where America's First Baby is Born" program worth over $4,000.
Baby Hazel is Willaine's fourth child, and her mom says she's considering having maybe plans to have another baby…but not for another four years.
