Guam - Governor Eddie Calvo's chief policy advisor Arthur Clark was on a teleconference call with the feds and commends Vice Speaker BJ Cruz for his efforts on the deportation laws. Like Cruz, Clark expresses his disappointment with the news saying the feds weren't keeping the relative resources into perspective.

He told KUAM News, "They're talking about the resources of having one or two lawyers working on a case over maybe a six month period versus we're talking about $100 million-plus of financial resources being exhausted, unreimbursed to this community through this compact, so I think relatively speaking we're on the short end of that stick."

At the same time Clark says there is encouragement in that the feds are willing to assist in training for the Attorney General's Office not only on the application of our criminal statutes but amending it as well.
